Varmit report
Brindle continues to stay mainly in the house, mainly sleeping at the foot of Mom's recliner. He's growing back his front claws, many of them have sharp lil points on them again. Same with his back paws save for two toes. One is healed up and completely absent of any claw; he managed to declaw himself on that one. It healed smoothly though. The other one was the one that snapped flush with the cuticle. It hasn't grown any, and still seeps blood on occasion, even though it's been more than three weeks. We find smudges of blood under his chin, behind his head, on the back of his ear--all the places a cat scratches with his hind foot. It doesn't seem to bother him but I suppose if it doesn't heal up or grow out, it'll have to come out. Damn.
Scooter has been depressed but seems to be getting better, showing more interest in food. He's elderly and terribly thin. Lots of hugs for Scooter.
A momma skunk brought her babies by yesterday, four little windup toys that kept falling off the porch and bouncing into walls and backing away...off the porch again. Pretty funny stuff.

Poor Brindle! Well, maybe he'll stay closer to home most of the time now, and that'll be a little less worrying for you.

Brindle stays in a lot more, yet he still goes out. I need to go bring him in right now as a matter of fact. He's very willing to come in nowadays. He's still at risk, though. :(
