I'm off to Escapade tomorrow. Four days of sun and fun and slash by the beach. It should be gorgeous and I so need to decompress. I'll be taking this laptop with me for its first vacation. Maybe I'll get caught up on the flist? We'll see. No SG1 panels, but there are a few SGA, Torchwood and SPN panels that I'll wander by.

I still need to set up the new Tivo, do laundry, pack, blah, blah, blah....

BTW, the three siblings were just by. They looked good. Still lots of skunks and a possum or two.

New Amsterdam wasn't bad. I've put it on a season pass.

Mom and I are taking the train down to San Diego saturday to see Scott Bakula in a play. I'll wave as we go by.

Yeah, have the engineer toot as the train rolls by...oh, wait. They already do that. This hotel has a lot of noise from the trains and the freeway. I'm gonna try earplugs tonight.

Dealer's room is open tomorrow. I don't know what zines might be appearing so finger's crossed. I guess I'll get an address to give you if it's new--unless it's a Sam fest then I'll take the chance and buy it for you.

I missed the first episode of New Amsterdam but tell me, what was your impression of it? Good action, angst or banter? My Tivo didn't list it but it vomited out a few others I checked out. Saw L&O Criminal Intent for the first time.

Hey Anna,

I guess there was another ep of New Amsterdam on Thursday and I missed that one. Well, Fox tends to show repeats so hopefully we can catch up.

I enjoyed it. Usually pilots are a bit awkward but this showed a lot of promise and had a couple of cool things. Good action, a few imaginative bits. Some banter. Did Katya catch it? I'll write more when I get home as I need to try to get some sleep--I was snoozing during one of the panels...and SPN one! Nobody likes Bela, go figure. *g*

As for New Amsterdam, nuts, I think I missed Thursday's, too. Thank goodness for BitTorrent. Do we knoww if we get a full season or just mid-season like Sarah Conner?
