Just a boring update

Castle is quickly maturing into a very good show. Nathan Fillion is 90% of the draw, and he's well up to the task.

Top Gear continues to be a hoot.

NCIS, The Mentalist, Bones, Criminal Minds all bring me joy. :)

I get the feeling that Mr. Colbert is over in the Middle East this week--wasn't it all reruns?

Since the San Andreas has been frisky down towards the Salton Sea, I bought some more disaster canned food and water while down at Costco. FEMA says to keep 3 days of supplies on hand, but also mentions that utilities could be out for a week. I figure that doubling that number should be sufficient.

Oh, hey! My California Tax Refund came in! I totally expected not to see it until May, if at all.

I bought Paintshop and have been fiddling about with it, getting ready for BunnyCon 2009. I'm getting better at it. It's not too bad to figure out while refusing to RTFM.

Castle is still good, I love the fun of his character. Though, on a serious note, I also noticed that they had him be smart enough to keep his mouth shut when the detective was trying to talk the girl down in the laundry room. Every time they flashed the camera towards him, I thought, "Shut up!" And he actually did. Even though you could tell he WANTED to be the hero there, you could see he knew he was not the right person for the job. Excellent script, excellent acting, and excellent directing!

I also am still enjoying NCIS, Mentalist, and Bones. I've even been watching ER the past few weeks, though I haven't watched it in at least 7 or 8 years. But it's been great to see all the old characters return. I'll be taping the finale while I'm in Vegas next week.

I keep wanting to give up on Life on Mars--it's good but not great. However, since the producer has promised it's a different ending from the UK version (where the guy was in a coma), I've kept watching. I hope I don't regret it as a waste of time.

And on Fridays I've been recording Flashpoint and Numbers. Not as good as the Friday's I've been enjoying for years, but it will have to do.
