tenaya...but I'm writing this via the new computer. It has two fans, and is much louder than the last one. I had trouble with the Earthlink.net thing and spoke to a guy AT LENGTH in India about my woes. He was alright and was obviously earning OT in the patience dept, but it was uncomfortable to think that that had been an american job. I know too many people who've had their jobs outsourced or whatever they call it.
But back to the new computer. "Dave" wanted to know if I had enough RAM for Earthlink's total access. He choked when I said I had a gig. Then he wanted to know if I had enough room on the hard drive. I admited to one drive of 120 gig (didn't tell him about the second one) and he laughed out loud. Turns out he lives in Southern India and it was a beautiful day. I live in Southern California and it had been hot and smoggy. Anyway, the plan is to make vids on this baby. It's black with a clear panel in the side (so I can watch the dust bunnies grow?) and it glows a neon blue. I haven't set up the speakers, or the new photo printer from last year (which would have knackered the old computer.) I also got a wireless mouse and keyboard, but decided to fight that fight another day. But I have imported the bookmarks and email addresses. My inbox of over 4000 is on the old computer. I guess that is one way to clean house!
Very tired so I'm going to bed. I just wanted to dl lochjournal so I wouldn't have to do it later.
BTW, the raccoons are still adorable. I've seen all five babies and this brood duplicates last year's with a very cute one and one that will have to be called Mr. Greedy2. I'll have to put up a few more photos...once I figure out how to do it on this monster.
