Back in April when we signed up for Verizon Fios, they gave us a $100 gift card for Circuit City. I've been reading more and more about how CC is in trouble and will be closing some of their stores soon. I decided I'd better buy something with the card pronto. I kept looking over their website but was pretty meh about most stuff. An HD DVD recorder would be nice but their expensive and I really don't need one right now. The only thing I *wanted* was an IPod thingy because all my bestest friends have had theirs for *years* and they roll their eyes every time I tell them I still haven't got one yet.

So, with $100 off more or less, I can now sit with the cool kids and talk IPod-ish (as soon as I figure it all out....) I got me an i touch 16gb so I can have photos, too (and other crap which I will probably must have as soon as I know about said crap.) It can't do fanfic so my Life Drive reigns supreme as my fav toy, though. *g*

If you agree with my logic does that make you enablers?

And CC gave me a $10 gift card with my purchase. I *still* have to buy something else from them now!

Oooh, those iPod Touches look so cool. Toolman and I were in an iPod store the other day and were looking at them. I'd love to get one except they don't have enough storage space for me. They look like so much fun, though. I've never put photos on my iPod, but my son has them on his.

What is a Life Drive? That sounds cool.

Can you buy an iTunes gift card with the gift card? *g*

Oooh! I like how you think! Buy a iTunes card.... Very devious. *g*

How much space do you need? Would you be wanting to put video on it?

My Life Drive is my entertainment center. I have games, I can put my photos on it, I've used the voice recorder to capture my cat's distinctive purr and meows. But my fav part is it has Word on it and I've a 2 gig SD card in it with an awesome amount of fanfic on it. :) It does other things but I don't use them so much. It's an older palm device. I imagine there are better toys that do the same by now.

Congratulations, and it's about bloody time! LOL. I think I have the same one as you have, even though they have bigger ones now. I haven't felt the need for a bigger one yet.
When I went to Louisville, I downloaded an episode of 'No Reservations' to take with me, the U.K. and Scotland one. It really came in handy one evening in the hotel, when there was nothing on TV. I also have Stephen Fry's podcasts, which are funny, and free! I have some photos, and a great deal of music and the handheld version of 'Spore'. Oh, and 4 books.
This is quite a good time killer game. Basically, you are a one celled organism, and you have to eat, and dodge bigger organisms than yourself, in order to 'evolve' or get better body parts. To move around in the primordial soup you just tip the Touch right, left etc.
Must go to bed now. Very tired.(yawn)

Congrats! I have the previous version, non-touch, but I love it and use it almost every day at lunch time. Might want to buy a lil' purple (of course) Nano one of these days.

Thanks for the link. I'd never heard of a Life Drive, but I had heard of Palm devices. That looks really cool.

I have an 80GB iPod video, which I love. I have about 10,500 songs/files in my library not counting video, and that fills up about 2/3 of the iPod. I don't put much video on there since I never watch it, but I have room to put a bunch of TV shows on there if I wanted.

I mostly use it for listening to music in the car. Our car stereos were somewhat old, so my husband installed some sort of thing that I can just plug my iPod into it and it charges it and plays it through the radio at the same time. Even my steering wheel controls (for the radio) work to control the iPod. I didn't want a radio receive type thing as I've heard the sound on those is not good and can drop out.

I wish they'd make an iPhone with a lot more storage space for large music libraries. If they did, I'd probably get one--or an iPod Touch. Well, eventually. hehe Mine still works, so I'm not getting a new one anytime soon. *knocks on wood*

I also have games on my iPod. It came with Solitaire and maybe a couple of others, but I have a bunch of games like Scrabble and some Sims game and things like that. I have games on my phone, too, but I don't like that as much.
