I came home for the local fan meeting last night to find Mom had an interesting story to tell. She said she'd left the front door open for a while after dark (we do this in the late afternoon for Reggie. He wants to go out and sit on the porch, but since his illness, he's lost confidence, becoming rattle more easily and likes to be able to dart into the house for protection. So, we try to sit with him, but if we're not there, we leave the door open for him.) So, she forgot to close it up at dusk. She was working at the computer, finally noticed some odd noises coming from the hallway and went to investigate. She heard little feet scampering away, turned on the light and found a five pound bag of peanuts had been dragged 15 feet down the hallway, around a corner and was now only 5 feet from the front door! One corner of the bag is stippled with lots of holes from very sharp, tiny teeth. "So," I said cautiously, "is the skunk still in the house, do you think?" I mean, really, how to you shoo a skunk from your house?? She felt not. She threw lots of peanuts outside and left the door open for a while longer. When she went to close it, she said there were three skunks munching peanuts out there. And all is quiet in the house, so I'm sure we're skunk free.

So, aside from being arrogant, regal and easily pissed off, we know know they are also sneaky, quite ambitious and very, very strong little guys.

I was googling around trying to find something specific, but I found this instead:

I don't usually like this style of art, but I find her faces quite compelling. I also am intrigued
by the drama implied in many of the pieces, and the outright sexuality. Some of these people aren't
shown very attractively, but they are nontheless appealing in their vulnerability.
