I'm feeling better. The cough is nearly gone, the throat is lots better. The ear must have drained again last night because (cut for TMI.) I called Employee Health and was told I'd need to turn in the doc's signed ok to return to work at least one business day before I return. As I hoped I would be well enough after the antibiotics finished on Sunday, I was thinking I could get back to work on Monday. That would be Friday I'd need to turn in the paperwork. Huh.
And the big packet of paperwork crap (that my hopelessly vague and useless manager mentioned when she said: Well, if you're not really sick and can return on Thursday, you won't have to fill out this really big form) is a Leave of Absence form. That may or may not need to be turned in before I go back. This is day six of the abx, and I'm still having issues so...I just don't know what will happen. I feel like a toddler when I walk...like if I go fast enough I'll stay upright and fairly straight, but I don't have vertigo. Odd. I kinda hope the ear stays half healed so when it probably explodes again on the plane to MediaWest on the 20th, it won't hurt as much.
I'm going to venture from the house today to go food shopping. The cat is out of whipped cream. *g* It's okay if we've been eating canned food for a few days, but the cat has needs that must be met by the "Opposable Thumb Monkey Servants." I still have to go lay down after about six hours of being up so hopefully my stamina is improving.
