...I just voted. The fellow that took my ballot said there was 30 people waiting for the polling place to open, and there was a small wait while I was there, which is the busiest I've ever seen the place. Mom made a mistake and had to get another ballot so I got to sit and watch people enter. They all seemed very, VERY determined. There's now about 7 Kerry signs on people's lawns since mine was torn to bits and thrown back in my yard. Of course, there are 3 ENORMOUS Bush signs about. These suckers are about 5 foot by 10 foot long. One covers the second floor of this one old victorian house. Nothing says "I'm rich and powerful" more than a disgustedly large candidate sign for Bush. How embarrassing!

Please, oh please let that nutjob lose tonight.

I'm now going to sleep and when I wake up, I plan to drink alcohol to calm my nerves as I watch the returns come in later tonight. I can't believe how important this election is, and how half the country is willing to follow a man who so clearly couldn't care less about this country or anyone else's. Maybe I'll start drinking now....
