"Contending Americans have embraced his conservative agenda, President Bush pledged Thursday to aggressively pursue major changes in Social Security, the tax code and medical malpractice awards, working with Democrats if they are receptive and leaving them behind if they're not.

"I earned capital in the campaign, political capital, and now I intend to spend it," Bush said a day after a decisive victory that made him the first president in 68 years to win re-election and gain seats in the House and Senate.

"I'll reach out to everyone who shares our goals," said Bush, who 24 hours earlier had promised to try to win over those who voted for his Democratic opponent. --by Terence Hunt

Flip flop much, Mr. Bush?

Anyway, I post this mainly for my overseas friends. As you can see, he'll be treating 49% of the U.S. with as much regard as he has been treating the rest of the world for the last 4 years.

Probably more than 49%, word is that some votes were hijacked...again.

I know! It's shocking how many little stories out there about voting irregularities, like that one precinct in Ohio that had under a 1000 votes cast, and yet reported that Bush had almost 4000 votes from there. Huh?! I am so disgusted. My mom has taken to calling him King Bush.

I really wish there was some way these stories could get out so we could all do something about it. Call for a recount or something, you know?

The more I hear, the more I'm surprised that this isn't more of a big deal and the Democrats aren't calling for more of an investigation. Hell, I want the whole election process changed completely to something uniformed and tamper-proof.
