Min snorted with disgust. “The Tok’ra are pathetic. They martyr themselves on the altar of guilt, emasculating themselves and crippling the ‘cause’ they dedicate themselves to. They are self-indulgent fools.”

“Self-indulgent? How can you say that? That…that…is a better description of the System Lords.”

“Oh, how very passionate you are, Dr. Jackson. But actually, self-indulgence is a fault of all Goa’uld, even myself. The System Lords’ biggest flaw is a sad lack of imagination. They are obsessed with power, but choose to ignore the more intriguing, subtle shades of it.”

Perplexed, Daniel rested his chin on his hand and studied the mild-looking figure across from him. “You rule whatever this place is, yet you are not Tok’ra or a System Lord?”

“We are Min and We are unique.”

Daniel cautiously sipped from a goblet of pale blue fluid. “You don’t look anything like the statue of Min I saw on Gebtu. Tall man, muscles, lots of hair.”

“Not to mention a penis the size of this gourd,” Min said, picking up a vegetable nearly the size of a baseball bat from the table’s centerpiece.

“Yeah…I noticed that. Covered in gold,” Daniel answered slowly.

“Different host. He was a big, strapping lad with obvious attributes, but quite dull and thick I’m told. I, on the other hand, amuse my Goa’uld, as he does me. We’ve been entertaining each other for a very long time.” A slow smile spread across Min’s face. “And now, dear Dr. Jackson, imagine how happy we are to have a genuine Tau’ri scholar to play with--and a pretty one at that!”
