A lot of people are wearing these skirt jackets from Sweden or Norway to cover their jeans, it was in the newspaper last year. I think at the moment those are more popular than thermal underwear (because wearing them can get too hot if your inside but still not warm enough outside) plus you have two pair of pants. I can ask someone at work about the skirt/jacket thing.
I got my thermals at JC Pennies. I think they were about 20-30 dollars. I probably overpaid.
sholio actually lives in Fairbanks so she may actually have better info. I rarely have to wear thermals since the temps hardly get that low in Anchorage.
