He's going to be a guest tonight on The Tonight Show (Thursday, or I guess technically it'll be Friday morning.)

It was a good interview. Of interest is that House was picked up for a second season.

Missed it. I've adored Hugh Laurie for years, loooong before House. And I knew he could be a dramatic actor, too. If you're ever in the mood for finding obscure flicks, try to get "A Pin for the Butterfly". Dark, and it also featured Imelda Staunton of "Vera Drake", whom I also like.

Did you mean you didn't know I was a HL fan, or that Sue was? I didn't know that Sue was - kewl! I loooove Blackadder. I don't really like Rowan Atkinson in anything else he does, but all the Blackadders are brilliant, tho' I think Elizabethan and WWI are my faves.

I've been catching them since I returned from Escapade, and am enjoying them quite a bit. So...where are those stories again??

Actually, I still have the interview on Tivo. I think I'll burn it on a dvd for you.

I loved Blackadder, but Laurie's Prince Regent was a little too over the top for me. I'm glad to see what a nice range he has!

Sue listened to everyone rage about it at Escapade and vowed to investigate on her own. Sue can be very picky and would hate to diss someone else's new fannish love, so Sue was discreet. *g*

Sue does indeed love it, so there was much rejoicing. *g*

It's so intelligent, and so well done. It attracts intelligent fans (on the discussion lists) and so far as I've read, very good authors. Because I watched the first ep and then sort of lost track of the show until recently, I'd forgotten that Robert Sean Leonard was on the show. So when I discovered that House/Wilson was a major pairing, that did it for me...I've been a goner ever since.

...and for moi as well? she pleads.

The stories are in [livejournal.com profile] housefic and [livejournal.com profile] house_slash. Many of them repeat on both journals.

There's also housefic's web site. Housfic is an "all ratings/genres LJ and site, but I'd say it's 70% slash and I haven't read a bad story from them yet.

Yeh, I was much less enamored of the Prince Regent than the German spy in the Elizabethan eps, or George in the WWI eps. I thought George was a very poignant character. Did you see Sense and Sensibility? HL plays a very crabby husband and father (although, if one was married to Imelda Staunton's flightly idiot of a wife, one might have cause...). Hey, that's another film the two of them were in together.

Thanks for the sites. Mucho gracias.

As for the disk, already done. *g* I've got one for each of you. I think I'll have to mail it to you as I'm out of sych with the meetings until July. Unless the three of us want to get together before that?

Maybe we can get together in late April, or May? Or June, come to that? There's a new baby orangutan at the LA Zoo. I was thinking of going, before it gets too hot. And there's always Tut....
