The clam before the storm
Dec. 22nd, 2006 12:28 pmI know. It should be calm but I spelled it wrong and rather like this version. *g* I keep picturing this lone clam on a beach in front of black, stormy seas.
Anyway, I've been off for a few days and just did the essential stuff. I got the car serviced yesterday in preperation of our coming trip out to Vegas and Laughlin again. We're going to see Love while there.
Speaking of Vegas, we're also planning on going out there again in April and see Craig Ferguson do a show. I wonder what the uncensored version will sound like?
We cooked our Christmas Turkey on Wednesday as I work the next 5 out of 6 nights. :::sigh::: Dare I hope it'll be quiet at work?
I've tried taking photos of the raccoon with her two babies but as soon as I approach the door she just leaves. The other night they were leaving and I was standing in front of the big picture window when one of the babies froze at the sight of the monster inside the house. Being contaminated by Monty Python, I started a version of Confuse-a-cat and started to "dance like an egyptian" and peek-a-boo and other silly things. The little fellow stared, riveted, sometimes placing his head down on the ground (kind of like what a dog does when they are inviting you to play, but I don't know what it means when a raccoon does it; maybe he was trying to "look big.") After a good minute, he very reluctantly turned to leave with a "I really gotta go now" expression. I've probably ruined him for life from looking in windows. *g*
Anyway, I want to wish you all a very Merry Christmas! I hope Santa is very good to you all, even the naughty ones!
