We're back from Las Vegas. We had a wonderful time and Bunny took great care of us. On Saturday, we went to the Orleans Casino to see CF. I'm pleased to say during the hour he was on stage, he pretty much kept to the standard of jokes he uses on the Late Show. We laughed and laughed and had a great time.
Sunday, instead of going to the Highland Games or seeing a Polynesian dance festive at another casino, we just stayed in and vegged. A captive audience, we were made to watch Happy Feet and I'm pleased that it was better than the ads seemed to indicate. We also watched episodes of Jeeves and Wooster, and Black Adder, and rounded the day off with some eps of Planet Earth.
We drove home on Monday and while traffic was good, it made me wish I'd left late on Sunday. There was more traffic, but there was a much higher ratio of assholes being rude. Hey folks! Isn't the grand plan that we all arrive home *alive?* Jerks. Also, it's just more comfortable at night. No sun to squint against for four hours for one.
So, we picked up Reg on the way home and he just meowed and meowed for hours. I don't know if he just had a lot to say or he was complaining but he was just so restless for the rest of the day. Poor soul; it was his first time being boarded for more than an overnight stay after surgery. I noticed his chart has a orange dot on it with the word "Careful." Apparently, that is to warn the staff that he could be dangerous. Apparently he's had this since a year ago Jan when he had that horrible tooth that had to come out. Now we worry that because of this rating, he didn't get much attention/affection and maybe that is why he was complaining. This cat is so compliant and passive, too!
ETA: I should also mention that Reggie has lost a lot of weight in the last 6 weeks. He's gone from 16 pounds 3 oz to 14 pounds 3 oz. He's now just on the high side of being 'normal.' And, tonight when we were working in the yard, he came out with us and he hasn't done that in over a year. He sure feels better.
Well, it's cooling down a bit and I need to go do some yard work. :::sigh::: But it's all a part of my master plan of being on a diet and getting more exercise before MediaWestCon.
