A baby! Finally!

tenayaIt was a tiny little skunk, walking beside her mom with the exact same regal bearing. Full, fuzzy tail held high, they strolled through the courtyard hip to hip. As mom turned this way and that, the baby maintained her position beside her like some sort of synchronized dance. A mirror image mini-me. I should of had a red carpet for them. Absolutely adorable.
I think Cutiepie, the mom raccoon was by tonight. She was thinnish and pounding down the kibble with an incredible single-mindedness and she was here for a long time. She tanked up on the water, too. Last year she did this, too, and while I was at MediaWest, she premiered her family of five that weekend. My guess is she has a den full of babies that are getting bigger and hungrier. MediaWest is only a couple of weeks away so soon we should have babies everywhere.
