I have never been so happy to admit I was wrong!

Brindle just showed up. He's sore, he's missing some claws in his back feet and his face is scratched up. I thought I was seeing a ghost, but he's real and alive and we are so happy. He's obviously emotionally traumatized and was in hiding for two days. He's glad to be home but he just wants to be left alone for now.

I am at a loss to explain all the blood on the driveway. I would go into detail but you all know how I feel about such things.

We picked up Reggie's cedar box today and me and the tech behind the counter were both sniffling. I've been so miserable but getting Brindle back has been the best tonic, for both Mom and myself.

I apologize for my earlier post. Your words of comfort to me were incredibly comforting. I deeply appreciated all the concern and I thankful to have such friends as yourselves. I'm terribly embarrassed about this but that's a small price to pay if I can have at least one of my kitties back.

Thank you all, and again, I'm so sorry to have upset everyone. Thank you very much for all the support. It wasn't wasted because I truly needed it over the last two days. You are all the best.

A friend at work had an amazing cat she worshiped. Bobo died a year ago and I was shocked at how callous some people were about it. "He's just a cat" and making dead cat jokes. She was in grief and they should have respected that even if they didn't understand. Not surprisingly, it was the more vigorous evangelists who had this attitude. I've been very careful about who I've told that Reg is gone because I'm afraid I'd lose it if someone coped that attitude with me.

I'm very sorry your ex-roommate was such an asshole. And very happy that Brat survived. I'm pretty surprised the fireman didn't rescue Brat, especially since there seemed to be some time to do something.

When I first knew Wheelz was terminal, but before I had him put to sleep, I had one woman at work who I'd thought was a friend tell me I was a horrible, selfish person for not euthanizing him immediately. Clearly she was of the cat=sick, cat=kill mentality. I've never forgiven her.

The firemen said the building was too dangerous to walk on the second floor, they were afraid it would collapse. It sure didn't look that way to me. Not only that, things were able to be retrieved from the upper floors later, so it was a crock. They just didn't want to bother to rescue him.
