Wennesday's tv viewing

First off, this show isn't new but I hope you are all watching The Colbert Report. It is a very funny, yet informative, excellent guests and devastatingly pointed commentary on the news and politics. Colbert on the surface is right wing, but really, his politics is very "blue state." Highly recommended.

Criminal Minds: Oh no! They're not going do that, are they? I am quite anxious about where they are going. This is always an excellent show and I have a very bad feeling about this.

Dirty Sexy Money: You know, I really liked this. Well, the plots of the younger Darlings was just a waste of time but the other stuff was either intriguing or fun. I very much like that the lead is determined to find out how his dad died. Donald Sutherland is great; I also like Peter Krause and Jill Clayburgh. This one is a keeper.

ETA: They just had a bit on the news about Dirty Sexy Money. They said Candis Cayne is the first transgender actress to play the first transgender character on prime time tv (here in the US, of course.)

For some reason, one of the cable channels over here shows The Daily Show, but I'd much rather have Colbert... ;)

I taped Dirty Sexy Money and haven't watched it yet. I wasn't too sure about it, but I'm feeling better that it might be good. I wasn't too sure about Life (on NBC) either, but I watched it last night. I found it surprisingly good.

Yes, it is "quirky" as the critics are saying, but the lead actor is able to pull it off without looking like an idiot. Okay, he looks like an idiot sometimes, but it's when he's SUPPOSED to look like one. (g) Adam Arkin as his money manager is a hoot, though we didn't see him too much. His female partner is interesting--a bit cliche' but room to grow. There were enough hints at the backstory to keep me interested, but not so much as to annoy me with the attitude of, "We know something YOU don't."

As long as they continue to keep it interesting, without going too overboard, I'll keep watching this one.

You're the second one that said Life was worth a go. I've just checked and since it's a NBC program it's being repeated on USA and Bravo. I'll catch the pilot on USA.

I watch the Daily Show and the Colbert Report a lot. I don't watch it every night, but frequently, and I adore both guys, but SC is such a hoot! Plus, he's adorable. Did you know that people have written Stewart/Colbert/(Anderson) Cooper slash? The mind boggles.

Really? I have to say that sounds like fun. Colbert is such an over the top character. I don't care that much for Stewart, unfortunately. And I have to say I was blindsided when I heard recently that Cooper was gay. What a 'duh!' moment.

I have to respect AC. He's tried hard to make it all on his own, with no association with Mama to help him along. He wants to be taken seriously on his own, bless him. And I'm sure he feels that being officially out would hurt his mainstream credibility. Sad but true, in Arkansas and Alabama. So I respect his choice. But apparently he's out in all but announcing. He is soooo deliciously adorable!

I love The Colbert Report. I love The Daily Show more, but I usually watch both. I record them and watch when I have time.
