I'd noticed a lot of "no parking AT ALL on Tuesday" signs down one of our main streets and wondered what was going on. Today, I went down to the local hardware store and found my way blocked by a police car and a couple of old Model T or Model A. A side street had lots of old cars parked all over and a old Red Car street car parked in the middle of the street. My hardware store had some new shelving near their cash registers stocked with a bunch of early 20th century stuff. They said they'd be filming in there tomorrow. This part of town has a lot of 1900-1920 era houses so obviously it's a period piece. I have to go to work tomorrow so I won't be able to loiter about down there.

The film is The Changeling.
Director: Clint Eastwood.
Writer: J. Michael Straczynski
Stars: Angelina Jolie
Release Date: 7 November 2008 (USA) more
Genre: Mystery more
Plot Outline:
A mother's prayer for her kidnapped son to return home is answered, though it doesn't take long for her to suspect the boy who comes back is not hers.

By the way, Mom is home safe and sound and she had a great time. Brindle was ecstatic. Scooter is currently on her lap. All is well. :)

Hmmmm, I probably wouldn't have paid enough attention to this movie to notice that Straczynski wrote it, so thanks for pointing this out. I will probably at least rent the DVD--you'll have to point out which scenes are shot in your neighborhood when it comes out.
