I first saw them at the Luxor maybe more than ten years ago. I remember laughing until my sides ached and being overwhelmed by all the words that were so witty and having a completely overstimulated fantastic time.

Thinking I'd like to experience that again, we went to see them again tonight in Anaheim. And I was so bored. It is 80% a concert now, with minimal humor. The multiple layers of text is 99% gone. The wonderful absurdity is replaced by a heavy handed message that I got in the first ten minutes because Pink Floyd has thoroughly explored this theme in The Wall and did it *SO* much better.

Wow, I am so disappointed.

Thank you for reviewing! One of my coworkers saw it several years ago and she told me it was so funny and witty that I've been wanting to see it. But, when I've been in Vegas, I haven't been able to persuade anyone else to go with me--mostly due to the cost. Now, I can and have seen shows by myself, but I keep thinking SURELY someone else will want to see it eventually. And the price IS a bit steep. Last time I was there, they offered "buy one get one" if you visited Madame Tussaud's (another thing I keep putting off to do it with someone), and I STILL couldn't talk my friend into going. (We did go see The Producers, which is EXCELLENT and a lot of fun.)

Anway, now I am very happy my friends have been cheap, because it sounds like something I wouldn't like all that much, and I would certainly feel bad if I dragged someone else to it. I'm not much for concerts myself--prefer a storyline, or a play, or something--so you have saved me much money and potential embarrassment. Thank you!

There is a slight possibility that the Vegas show, since it is stationary and able to have permanent equipment, would be more like what I saw years ago. I wouldn't mind seeing the show again if it were like before. We need to find someone who has seen it recently.
