SGA: Harmony
Jan. 26th, 2008 01:07 amFirst off, my taxes are done and waiting to be mailed tomorrow. Refunds...Yay!
Harmony: One of the things I hate about tv is shows that have to do with twee children. I am *so* not interested in precocious adorable (rude terrors.) One of the things I like about SG1 was that I usually enjoyed their stories that involved children. I liked "Show and Tell," "The Light" and loved "Learning Curve," and "Fragile Balance." "Prodigy" was okay.
I've not liked any of the "kid" shows SGA has put out and this is another one. Only if they'd bothered to put in a twist or two. It was very predictable and every plot point we called correctly. And Gero is usually such an interesting writer.
The only entertaining thing about it was having Rodney and Shepard together for most the ep, but even that was meh.
The thing that is really rich about this is that Mallozzi said recently in his blog that they'd never do any holiday shows and he said it with a sneer of contempt. You know, we had some wonderful holiday themed shows last month that were very creative and entertaining. Too bad SGA couldn't rise to the challenge of an unusual child story or a holiday themed show.
