Hey, wasn't that quite the slashy scene between Mick and Josef tonight? Josef pushed him against the wall and he so *wanted* to suck/take Mick right then. So intense, so focused, so barely in control. And Mick yelling, "get off me!" That scene completely stopped me from what I was doing! Riveted.

Ah...and then Mick tells him to turn him back into a vampire! Josef's dream greenlighted. Oh yeah. And Josef only gave a slightest protest and a quick little "forgive me" before he dug in. He must have been desiring Mick for a very long time. Is turning a human into a vamp akin to having sex with a virgin perhaps? I think Mick is now very aware that Josef has a thing for him and Mick can use that to manipulate him. Perhaps the subtext has been there all along? I must admit to not watching that closely.

And then that embrace, the tender laying down of Mick with the flames from the fireplace in the foreground. The pain, the passion the love. Hot, hot, hot!

Yes, this series needs more of this! Of course, Mom is completely smitten by the Beauty and the Beast toned love story. It's very cute; she a bit girlish about the romance. *g*

I must admit I haven't been watching this show that closely. When it's been on, I'm usually playing on the computer. Now I wish I'd paid more attention to their particular vampire lore. Josef is a really old vampire or the oldest? And what does it mean for someone to be their sire?

I really loved Forever Knight, mostly for LaCroix. And there are so many similar points between Moonlight and FK that it almost felt like a remake to me, and you know how those never measure up to your first love and I guess that's way I wasn't paying attention. I'd sure love it if they brought in more Josef.

Every vampire thing has its own lore. I would say that it's probably pretty similar to FK. (And yeah, I mainly watched it for LaCroix, too.) Usually in this kind of scenario, the sire is owed loyalty, etc. Now, this being said, Mick did kill Coraline(sp?), so it can't be too ingrained into them. Josef is certainly old, but Coraline and her 6 brothers are supposed to be the really old bad-ass vampires.

As to the territorial fight I mentioned, Mick was welcomed into that family after they had returned him to a human state, which implies that despite the fact that Josef changed him back, he's still considered part of their clan. It should be interesting to see if there's going to be a fight for him (provided there's a S2).
