Descriptive character names?
Jun. 22nd, 2008 05:20 pmI quite like Criminal Minds but noticed a couple of the names must have been there as place holders until they renamed them something else.
Reid = the character is a walking repository of everything he's ever read.
Elle = was their mouthpiece for feminist views.
Biblical references go over my head for the most part but,
Aaron = he was Moses' brother right, and ended up in charge? That suits Aaron Hotchner, who is the team leader and took over for the previously exiled Jason Gideon.
Speaking of Jason Gideon, any clues in his name?
In SGA:
Sheppard = he's the leader that is responsible for the lost flock.
Ronon = I think that's an obviously reference to ronin, the Japanese samurai that had lost their masters.
Anyone have other names to add?

Sirius Black, animagus form: black dog.
The star, Sirius, is also called the Dog Star.

Date: 2008-06-24 05:39 am (UTC)I have to admit that the names Weasley and Dumbledore were somewhat negative and I was kinda of expecting the Weasleys to turn weasel and Dumbledore to eventually have a serious mistake about something. Rowling fooled me.
