A Fun Alan Rickman film
Aug. 12th, 2008 07:59 amIt's called Bottle Shock. The film is based a true story that took place in 1976. A British wine agent in Paris (Rickman) hears that the California wines are pretty good. He travels to Napa, picks up some wines and bring them back to Paris for a blind taste test that pits the newcomers against French vintages. It's a light comedy and Rickman is perfect as the drool Brit experiencing culture shock in Napa.
The film couldn't find a distributor so the film makers released it themselves. It's in limited release so you might have to travel to see it. If you're a Rickman fan, it's a must see.

Just hope they release it on DVD.

Thanks for the heads up
