Well, that was fun. :)

I have to say I've watched a handful of Burn Notice and I feel like I should like it. I do like Sharon Gless and adore Bruce Campbell, but I have to work to keep my attention on the show when it's on. I dunno.

It was fun seeing Michael Shanks chewing up the scenery. Quietly menacing, joyfully menacing and a bit unstable. Great fun.

Now for the important stuff. Why did it seem like he already had a tan when he was on the beach? The interview he gave talked about how good it was to be on the beach on his first day out there. Did the makeup lady/guy get to smear some sort of instant tan all over his body? Let's take a moment and picture that, shall we? :)

Where did my favorite lower lip of all time go?! That luscious, gorgeous lip. Please don't tell me that it's only visible with the right lighting? In the chess scene, it wasn't visible at all! The infamy! I think his five o'clock shadow ate it. :(

And then there is that strange band of over developed muscle that runs midline down the center of his abdomen. We get a really good look at it here; this is what gives him the appearance of having a pouch when he is wearing clothes (and isn't that a nice sentence to be able to write? *g*) And we can FINALLY see why Shanks said in a Q&A at a con, that his legs are the part of his body he's dissatisfied with. A beta once said there is no such thing as slender legs when it comes to a man; I think I beg to differ and would point to those legs to prove my point. And them's are nicely furred, too. That chest has been totally waxed. I *think* the deal with the pecs is that his nipple is off to the side; if gives a slight differentness to how his chest looks.

After seeing that haircut now for a while, I have to say that does nothing for him. Oh well.

And lastly, there was plot but who cares? *g*

You sure noticed things that only brushed against my subconscious. :) I was disappointed/sympathetic about the beach scene, as it was quite the unflattering angle for MS. His middle is simply not that big! He should have that muscle removed surgically, lol.

I loved him in the bar because we could see his eyes finally. Overall I enjoyed it very much. He went "big" but to me it worked for the show. :)

The beach scene should of been a complete Woohoo! moment, but he has a very unique body shape. I think Bridge worked with him to keep all their shots flattering. I think the Burn Notice people just went with the standard beefcake shot that makes most men look good despite the fact that it wasn't so flattering for Michael.

And you are so right about the bar scene. THAT'S why it poppped out; we could finally see his eyes. Yeah, that was my favorite scene of the show. Enjoyed the different accent, too.

That show is so over the top the anyway, he'd have to play it that big. Besides, he is quite the foe for Michael, and when Michael finally defeats him it will make the character seem better and smarter.

Burn Notice is kind of boring, I thought. Michael looked good though, even with his uniqueness! I laughed when I saw him with glasses...he looked like a demented Daniel. 8)

LOL! Yes, there was a screen cap I just saw where he's in silhouette, hands holding an imaginary rifle as he sprays bullets. That profile will always be Daniel to me and it was funny to see Daniel be so demented (good word.)

You have expressed my thoughts about Burn Notice exactly. I feel I SHOULD like it. It has many elements that I think I should like, including Bruce Campbell. But I only watch it when I have nothing else recorded. I also watch it while eating dinner, so I can ignore most of it.

I had to stop to pay attention to Michael, and he was fun. I was surprised to see him with glasses in the later scenes, but perhaps those were to protect the character's eyes while using the blowtorch. I sure did make him look like a demented Daniel, though. (g)

I loved the bar scene and was quite impressed with action theft scene. I know the box was empty but he looked good running with it. *g*
