...and this is the part that had to be replaced.

I find that extremely funny for some reason.

Looks just like the bit in my dishwasher that burned out the day before Griffin was born (how's that for timing?). DON'T BUY APPLIANCES WITH THOSE THINGYS IN THEM!

That was lousy timing! You had the repair over once you were home with Griffin?

I had no idea the thing was this complicated. Same thing for a dishwasher. Wasn't there dishwashers before computers? I would have thought it just a bunch of timers.

And of course all this hi tech stuff just makes them more likely to break. :::sigh:::

Yeah, I got the repair man in once Griffin was home from the hospital. I think I might have died if it didn't get fixed!

I think everything has computer components in it these days. And like you said, that just means there's more to go wrong.

Actually, you've just reminded me. We were watching Fraggle Rock with Griffin the other night, and the old man with the dog was saying how his new computer had 64kb of ram, and I said "our fridge probably has more ram than that!" I think I might be right ;o)

The really scary thing is, these things (and more) are in everybody cars now. When the electrical system goes on a car now, it just stops. Daid. Progress is .....not always so progress-y ;-(
