tenayaWe stayed at the Lake Louise Inn where I had to pay for the net connection, which I did; I got on for about 30 minutes and then the computer crashed and then the laptop would not reconnect. Hmph! Now I need to catch up!
We went up the Jasper Tram but it was a bit fogged in up there so we didn't stay long. BTW, what do you call tiny little bits of ice falling from the sky? Freezing rain? Surely not hail?
Athabasca Falls was spectacular! You can only see the start of it here, but it shot down a limestone chute that twisted and curved about:
When I went back to the car, a raven landed on the hood, then jumped on the rear view mirror. He wasn't about to leave until we gave him something to eat. I know we shouldn't have but he was really demanding. Turns out we had an audience of three people that were laughing at us, particularly when the raven cleaned his beak on the mirror.
Athabasca River:

We did the glacier tour. This is the Athabasca Glacier. To the far left, you might be able to see a speck that is that enormous Ice Explorer.
Either Mt. Athabasca or Mt. Andromeda:
Mom and me and our new set of wheels. Hummer owners are whimps!

A beaver!! We stopped where a bunch of other cars were stopped and saw a beaver lodge by the roadside. It started to rain and the people all left as the beavers weren't visible anymore. We stayed and finally they came out and started hauling cut wood and twigs about. I shot a little film of one of them that I'll try to post at some point.
