I just want to thank you for posting reviews of First Contact. I should be asleep but I read all your reviews, closing my eyes at the plot points of course, and I'm so excited that you all enjoyed the ep so much. I don't want my trip to end, but I also want to go home and see the lovely and talented MS play with DH.
Also, I got an email from my Critter Sitter that Brindle opened a window, sliced open the screen and escaped the house. She got him back in, but reports he is very vocal about wanting OUT!! He'll probably chew a hole in the wall if we don't get home soon enough for him.
THANK YOU all for your reviews!

Date: 2008-09-28 07:59 am (UTC)Also, I just loved that SGA episode with Daniel. It was so much fun to see Daniel being Daniel again, and to see him finally interacting with Rodney. The episode itself was a pretty good one, too. I actually regret the show being canceled now. :-)

Date: 2008-09-29 01:08 am (UTC)The eps before this one make me realize that, with this showrunner, it's better that the SGA stop now. If Gero was incharge and was allowed to so more things like First Contact, then there's a lot of milage left in the show. Mallozzi thinks in cliches, and SGA could be so much more.

You're probably right about SGA. This episode just made me somewhat nostalgic, but that's exactly why I never let myself get too attached to this show. I just enjoy the fun parts and don't pay too much attention to the rest.

Argh! I'm glad she got him back in - how scary!
That kitty I adopted - the one I need to introduce to the rest of the household - the one who is sitting sleeping next to me right now - that's how he got out of Jonathan's house after Jonathan passed away. He was outside for two months before I was able to get the cat trap and trap him. (I couldn't find anyone locally with a cat trap, and the San Gabriel Humane Society was only open during business hours and I couldn't take time off from that temp job.)
That's one of the reasons I kept him apart from the other kitties - the vet gave him a clean bill of health but still wanted him "in quarantine" for a month.

That's wonderful - a good pet sitter is such a treasure.
