I just watched it. It ran over and tivo stopped before it was finished. I've a question, please:

House asks Wilson if he's hungry. Wilson nods yes. They moved towards the door. House says, "Wison, my dad's dead." Wilson replies, "my sympathies." Was there anything past that? Was House referring to his mother's husband or his biological father?

Thanks!

No, I'm pretty sure they just walk out of the room after that, no more dialog. And, I assumed he was referring to his mom's husband, jerk that he was. :)

Ah! Great, thanks! He looked so grave and the episode had had so many twists I wasn't sure if that was it. Again, thanks!

I just double-checked--that was the end (well, them walking out afterwards). And I, too, took it to mean his mother's husband. Biological father or not, he was the man who raised House, and I think it just sort of emotionally hit House at that moment.

That's very good to know. I was thinking, "oh no! He's going to reveal his biological father had died," which really would have been too much. I think you've hit it; it hit him that his father had died. I also think he finally accepted that that was his father.

Thanks for replying.
