Yes, I'm still here, but it's been hectic. Work leaves me knackered, but there's a ton to do at home because Mom's been sick with a lung infection for over a week now and it's all I can do to try to do the most important chores. I did pull an overnighter (pre-planned months ago) with two friends out in Lompoc, which btw, is wonderfully rural, small townish and extremely beautiful right now, where we squeed about SG1, watched Swarmed and made rude comments about the production in general (but did agree Shanks was lovely to look at.)

Loved DH in Grace under Pressure, but I've seen this plot before once or twice, I believe. So much for SGA being "cutting edge" and "dark"--that the PTB are spinning that is always good for a prolonged chuckle. SG1: I've seen this before, too, haven't I? A bit from here, a bit from there. The script is the script and if it's trash, nothing and nobody can elevate the production. Oh well; bad scripts tend to generate fic, so maybe there's a bright side?

Still haven't had the time to see BG. BL was wonderful as usual; I'm glad to see Alan is still willing to bend the law into pretzel shapes to order the world to his liking. A friend at work finally got an ep and was delighted. I had to hear "Denny Crane" all night, but it was still fun. He was mightly impressed by the suits, and the feeling of peaceful contentment in the balcony scene that ends the show.

Brindle went back the vets for a steroid shot because his skin was a mess. He has lived in a cubby hole in the front closet for a week, but after the shot, he is living right in front of the closet. He's ran outside twice, freezes and runs back inside. I've brought him into the living room, but he races back to the closet. The skin looks better now, at least. Reg and Scooter are good. Outdoor critters are good. A scattering of raccoons visit each night.
