Varmit report

Just to say we've still got a collection of skunks, possum and raccon coming by. One of the male possums is getting his secondary sexual characteristic and he is an ugly sucker with a big neanderthal forehead. He's getting mean, too, nipping at the skunks and raccoons (the raccoon cowed before it like a scolded dog.) I think CutiePie came back tonight. She was standing up at the door peering in wanting to know where the kibble was. There have been other solitary coons and for a couple nights it was a pair.

We think Jerry is actually Jeri. The fur along her neck is getting bare and there has been some noisy skunk squeals...mating perhaps? She's still quite small compared to others, and she likes to hang around the courtyard. She's tried to come in a couple more times, but if one heads her off, she turns and goes out again without too much fuss.

Brindle got into a cat fight and now has a draining abscess behind his left ear. It doesn't bother him and we're giving him some antibiotics in any case. He'll be fine.

Less than two weeks before the election. I've got to get studying!
