I've just come out of a long work stretch and am totally unprepared to leave for the con tomorrow. AND there's a big storm coming through about the time I'll be leaving...and isn't that typical?

So, instead of packing my clothes, I'm downloading fiction to load on my PDA. As for the swap table, I do have at least two dvds I'll never watch again (The Secret Window and Narnia.) There's got to be a few other things here that need to go to a good home. Tivo is loaded with stuff I haven't seen: Rome, Heroes, Boston Legal, NCIS, Desperate Housewives and Without a Trace, not to mention the latest SG1 on the computer. There's also Lost, but I'm so disinterested that I don't care if it falls off Tivo.

So much to do and so little time.

Oh wait, let me google for Thai restaurants in Ventura!

Btw, wasn't Craig Ferguson's monologue a breath of fresh air? Lately, it's been disturbing how cruel the press/media can be when faced with a celebrity that is self-destructing in front of their lens. It's a relief to hear someone state they won't be exploiting another person's confusion and pain simply to make a few jokes.

And lastly for the SG1 fans here, did you know that there's a 1 in 43,000 chance that Apophis will smite the Earth on April 13, 2036?

I really should be in bed but I could not go to a fannish get together without seeing the latest SG1. Wow. Now, that's the type of Jaffa and Teal'c backstory they should have been giving us all along. I was bored into thinking all Jaffa political stories would have to be as dull as a meeting to set accounting protocals. This one, however, was, "oooh! Cool!"

At least they got one in before the end.
