If your house is protected by a deadbolt, you need to see this video. Basically, there is a a technique where unskilled people can use a filed down key to open most deadbolts in seconds. A quick google of bump key offers a lot of sites where you can get them cheap, making them accessible to many.

After I looked at that vid the other night, I wish I hadn't seen it. Apartment dwellers can't easily buy the more expensive lock and have it installed, most landlords would object. But it is really good to know about this kind of thing.

See you tomorrow, or are you working>

That video scared me, too. We have an alarm, and I know that a determined person could get inside no matter what type of lock or alarm, but still... It's a little unnerving to know that someone could take maybe 4 or 5 seconds to get into the house. (Besides that video, I did more searches on this topic and read some articles and watched other videos.) Eep.

I'm not sure what to do about it, though. In one article, it said that even the expensive type of lock mentioned in this article was not good, and that you needed a different type of lock.
