Answers:

01. The first character I fell in love with:

I had to go to the IMDB on this one. I was smitten was with Illya Kuryakin (1964), Artemus Gordon (1965) and Dr. McCoy (1966). All those sidekicks getting kidnapped, tied up and needing to be rescued? Be still my little hurt/comfort heart! *g* But I think my first real fannish love was Hannibal Heyes. Handsome, smart, funny, loyal, clever and totally smitten by his partner.

02. The character I never expected to love as much as I do now:

I'm a serial monogamist. I currently love Daniel Jackson and he is totally my type so I'm not surprised by my feelings. So, I think I'll go with Kronos, a total mustache twirling evil megalomaniac. I think I liked him because Pelka played him with such joy and because he shook up Methos so much. He was fun in a totally wicked way.

03. The character everyone else loves that I don't:

Rose Tyler, and her mom, too. And I could say why but as everyone likes her, why take the time to diss her? Plus everything will think I'm a big meany for picking on her.

04. The character I love that everyone else hates:

Gideon (Criminal Minds.) I don't know why most people dislike him. He could be eerie and he was damaged, but all the team is damaged, it turns out. I really liked the mentor relationship he had with Reid.

05. The character I used to love but don't any longer:

Sam Carter. As soon as everyone started falling in love with her and she started mooning after her boss, she became irritating. When the writer's told us ad nauseum how wonderful she was--no matter how badly she screwed up--the more I couldn't stand to see her on the screen.

Locke from Lost. He was mystical and had that great protector/warrior/wiseman thing going but by the time I quit watching Lost, they had turned him into a confused wimp.

06. The character I would shag anytime:

Daniel Jackson. Hannibal Heyes.

07. The character I'd want to be like:

I'd say Daniel but he dies WAY too much! So many characters have nasty baggage like Patrick Jane from The Mentalist. Abby from NCIS is so vivacious and smart but way too amped up actually. Janet Frazier had it all together, so maybe her.

08. The character I'd slap:

Jack from Lost. What an asshole!
Jack from Without a Trace. What an asshole!
Susan from Desperate Housewives. What a frigging stupid ass bitch!

09. A pairing that I love:

Rigsby and Van Pelt (The Mentalist)
Alan and Denny.

10. A pairing that I hate:

Sam/Jack, Sam/Jack (SG1 and Without a Trace) and Rodney/Keller. Ick, ick, ickity ick!

11. Favorite Character(s):

All of them?! In no particular order: Daniel Jackson, Jack O'Neill, Rodney McKay, Lucien LaCroix, Methos, Hannibal Heyes, Alan Shore, Kronos, Severus Snape, Spencer Reid, Frank McPike, Avon and Vila....

12. Least Favorite Character(s):

Keller, Sam Carter, the Jacks from question #8. Susan from Desperate Housewives. Roj Blake.

When I got into Man from Uncle again a few years ago, and some of the discussions, I realized that Illya was indeed my very first love.

And, like you, Wild Wild West was my second love. I liked both Jim and Artie. While I loved the sciency part of Artemus, I have to admit I'm a Jim-girl. My dad and I would watch WWW together and he related to Jim better, so I guess I did, too. Years later, they are both much more equal in my eyes--but Jim is just so pretty. (VBG)

I'm also rather meh about Rose and Jackie. Don't dislike them per se, just not as enamored as most others.

Unfortunately, I also agree that I used to love Sam and now.... I'm trying to learn to like her again, since SG-1 is pretty much gone. And I absolutely agree about hating Sam/Jack and McKay/Keller. Two fake romances shoved off onto the rest of us so the writers can have their wet dreams. Blah.

And to end on a happier note, I would add John Sheppard to your list of favorites for myself. I liked Rodney the most at first, but now both John and Rodney are two of my favorite characters. I really like equal pairings, like Jack and Daniel and Napoleon and Illya--but of course, they're only equal pairings in the GOOD fanfic!

It wasn't until I was much older that I noticed what I hadn't noticed when I was younger with both Jim West and Kid Curry. Pretty! And Jim kept loosing his shirt, too. Gotta love gay show runners. *g*

Sheppard is pretty. I wish he was more the way he is in fanfic, though.

Great meme. Is it ok if I snag it from you?

BTW, I so totally agree about Susan on Desperate Housewives. I never have understood why Edie is supposed to be so bad. Yes she does mean things sometimes, but Susan is a frigging stupid ass bitch!

Another good call on Rose Tyler...and her Mother.

I didn't know Gideon was hated. I love Criminal Minds but haven't gotten into fandom for it. I really like Gideon.

I like your slapping choices but I hate Morgan, from Chuck, so much that I'm thinking about not watching the show anymore.

Help yourself. Looking forward to your answers.

Susan is toxic. She lies, she's oblivious to anyone else and she causes destruction wherever she goes. I suppose it's supposed to be funny but I'm usually appalled. In the last ep she told her ex who is working 18 hour days as a plumber he needed to do more for their kid. I'm mean, WTF?!

I wanted to watch Chuck because of Baldwin but I just couldn't stand it.

I've joined a few CM groups here on lj and have seem multiple comments about Gideon learning nothing from getting his previous team killed and being an asshole...and I just wondered if I had missed something because that's not how I saw him.
