Because this is my journal I am going to put in details. I can't tell you the number of times I thought, "well, when did that happened?" or "how did that go again?" and I looked it up in my journal. (which also answers that question of some of "why would you copy your lj into Dreamwidth? Why not start over?" Eh, *because* it is a journal.) So, sorry to keep going on about.

The ear was acting up on Thursday night, enough that I had to take a vicodin to get to sleep. And there were the occasional weird shooting pain in the OTHER ear. EKKK! So, Friday morning--because Saturday and Sunday do not exist--I called in sick for Monday and made another doctor's appt. I've been on abx less than five times in the last decade so I don't crave those, but I do want to be sure I don't need more after these run out on Sunday. Apparently extended infections can cause permanent hearing loss and that would be stupid to have if I can avoid it.

The hearing had started to come back on Thursday too, sounding for all the world like a radio with a loose wire. Huh. Then it started to hurt again, then it drained again. Yadda yadda yadda.

I think I'm going to drive up Mt. Baldy sometime soon. It's the nearest mountain and I can achieve an elevation of 4200ft at Baldy Village and 6400ft at the start of the ski lift. Planes are pressurized to about 7000ft so I can get an idea about that will happen if I get on that plane.

What to do...what to do....

Oh and that paperwork? When I finally delved into it, there were copies of four different policies, two forms THEY had to fill out and a form I had to sign twice and I need to give to the doctor so he can fill it out. I had to sign my name twice. And that is what that manager tried to scare me back to work with?! :::head to desk:::

I will try to make the next post entertaining.
