An Endometrial biopsy...

...does hurt. It was a 'ouch, ouch, ouch, OUCH!' type of thing. What follows is TMI. Unless you want to know what an Endometrial biopsy entails, I suggest you move along.
I'm 52 and have been spotting for three months at least. This is to check things out and hey, it's better than a D&C. You sit like you do for a PAP, insertion of speculum (the large one that hurts), betadine your cervix, dilate your cervix (again with the OUCH!!) then they thread a thin straw up inside your uterus and suck up some tissue, which they will check out for bad stuff. It was somewhere at the end there that I could feel liquid heat spread in my lower abdomen. I figure maybe that was the ovaries complaining about the tugging and such. At least it only lasted a few minutes. But still, I have to wonder, do they do anything this painful to men???
And I still have the boob squisher to schedule. :::sigh::: The PAP was negative at least.
