For all those that snorted with disbelief...

...there were two hang up calls yesterday and then GG left a message as I was going off to take a nap before work (an essential if I want to stay awake all night.) It was the same as before and I'm saving the message. It's all, "pick up the phone, I don't want any money, I don't need anything. I just want to see if you're okay." Yeah, right. Hello! The yardwork makes it obvious that we're clucking about. And who besides one's offspring calls up and says, "I don't want any money" which smacks of entitlement.

I've made up my mind to call him when I'm off and I have the time to deal with him. I'm sure he'll put spin on everything and make excuses, so I want to be prepared for the confrontation. It's getting so Mom doesn't want to go outside because she thinks he may be lurking about. That's got to stop.

On a happier note, the coons are coming by in multiples lately. Momma still had her pontoons with her from last summer (the more timid babies that stuck to her sides like some sort of precision drill team.) I've heard coons can form extended families so maybe that's what's happening? We'll find out together.

So sorry that the drama is ongoing. What a pain! And a worry, as well. Bummer. But it sounds as if you're doing what you can at the moment.

So glad the 'masked men' (and momma) have returned! Looking forward to more tales of the wild. Are the skunks still coming 'round too?
