I hear the desert is in bloom. They say Death Valley is absolutely amazing right now. I think Mom and I will have to take a little road trip next Tuesday, either to Joshua Tree probably. Death Valley is a bit far for one day, but I'll have to investigate the possiblility.

Also, I just saw the most adorable Wendy's commmercial. It had three raccoons stealing a car and going to a drive through. The raccoons made us laugh.

I went out to Joshua Tree a few years ago in April. The ocotillo were in bloom, and it was just a wonderful, magical day.

I'm not surprised to hear that Death Valley would be all in bloom. They've had record rainfall this year and the entire valley has been literally Death Valley *lake*.

In a bit of synchronicity ... Leah and I saw that Wendy's commercial playing overhead in the Orlando Alehouse on the TV monitors at lunch today and Leah was laughing like crazy!

Wow! Some of those photos are amazing. I went to the Poppy reserve a couple of years ago, and made a mental note to take a scarf or hat next time I went. There was a chill wind blowing, and it blew right in one ear and out the other...needless to say, very painful!

We're toying with going to Death Valley. It's easily 4 hours out there though.

That commercial is a scream. They actually captured the mischieviousness of them quite well.

Being a good friend, Tenaya refrains from going for the obvious. *g*

Consider me warned. That's an excellent idea. Thanks!

Er... hi.

Just thought I'd say that I went up to Death Valley last week, and that most of the pictures I took are up here. Rolls 5 and 6 are still empty at the moment (I'm scanning them in right now, as it happens), but the others are up.

But, if you wanted to take a look.

How cool. You've some very striking photos there. I must say I'm partial to both the close ups of the flowers and the shots that have the Sierras in the background. Was it pollen you were photographing when you took those shots of your legs?

Thank you for sharing your photos.
