The Night Stalker. So far the best of the sf/fantasy new series. Lovely suspense and I like that the sort of literary overlay at the begining and end. The editing is a bit too frentic during the action parts, but that seems to be the standard now. All the cast is likeable and they've presented with a interesting mystery to solve. And I think that's why I like this one. I know many of you love Lost and I'm still watching it, but I feel like they will drag out the mystery as long as possible. I can see them withholding and it irritates me. Maybe Night Stalker will be just as elusive in answers, but I *feel* like the main character is going after answers, not dancing away from them.

Invasion. It feels like a duty to watch this. I'll keep with it for a while longer, but it needs to pick up a bit.

Boston Legal was a hoot. Denny and Alan walking to work together. "We look good, don't we?" I rather expected to see them holding hands with the way the camera panned down! And the testimony by cello was great. Very ingenious, very entertaining.

Lost Sawyer was likeable, Michael was not. I'm glad Jin is okay. Did we actually find out anything new under the hatch? Maybe next week we'll find out more about the pirate types. I was actively hoping Jack would get shot. I can't stand melodramatic acting and now it appears he's infected some of the rest of the cast.

NCIS. Good one! Lots of twists, lots of angst. They montaged Kate, so in Highlander film language, she's definitely dead now. I do think it's a classy way to say goodbye to a character.

House. Lots of House hanging with Wilson. I like! It was a very good ep.

Without a Trace Poor Martin. And wasn't all that Danny angst just lovely? Danny was great in this! Jack has become even more unlikeable, ickily so. As for Sam, I just wanted to shoo her away from Martin's bedside. One thing I hate in a drama, is when one character makes a Significant Statement To The UNCONCIOUS Person Because They Need To Hear It. It's all empty tell, grandstanding and emotionally empty. Dialogue between two characters is great. Monologues are ridiculous. Please don't let Martin and Sam become an item again. She deserves her morallly bankrupt boss. Imho, obviously.

Ghost Whisperer. You know, I've never seen anything with Jennifer Love Hewitt in it before. Can I just say after one episode, I am so not impressed with her acting abilities? I was miming her reactions shots and head tosses before the 30min mark, much to the amusment of Mom. The tone was a bit twee. And this one reminded me of Bewitched, as the heroine tried to hide her special abilities and situations from the visiting mother-in-law. From the beats and reations, I felt like this should have been a light comedy, but boy was that not working.

SG1, season 8 dvds. I was in Sam's Club today and they had them out! Huzzah! Unfortunately, the cash register fessed up to the fact that they weren't cleared to be sold as yet and the checker took my box set away from me. Damn.

I've been trying to watch this show because friends of mine adore Eric Close and I can see that he is indeed one hot babe. However, I really loathe Jack, which makes it kind of difficult to sit through the show.

Did you start the show from the begining? I thought Jack had more of a warmth back then, but as time goes by.... I thought the start of the show did not have enough of the regular characters in it, but unfortunately, as time goes by and they do put in more personal stuff, they've managed to deconstruct most of the team relationships. Eric Close is the main reason I watch the show, moreso as time goes by, but most of the time he's just a background minion. I'd actually suggest just dl specific shows that have more EC in them.

Where are you at in the series, where the actual loathing began? *g*
