We've been making phone calls and appointments. Currently, because the furnace fan was making a rubbing noise, there's an AC man in the house cleaning our coils and otherwise servicing the unit. He found cat hair--can't say I'm astounded by that. Anyway, heater and AC will be back in tip top shape.

In two weeks, the bathroom will be dealt with by the termite people. The floor will be taken up, damaged wood replaced and new linolium laid down and a new toilet installed. Later, the sink will be dealt with by a plumber (and maybe a shower head installed? :::looks hopefull:::

MediaWest will provide balance and a sense of perspective.

Mid-June we will get the housed bagged, spending two nights in the local motel with our three cats. Oh joy. The cruise will need to be paid for at that time, too.

Weeding is on-going.

At least Boston Legal is on tonight. Hopefully House and NCIS, too. It's either that or I need to run screaming around the house for about three laps.

Yeah, it's about time, actually long past time. Oh well, a long journey starts with small steps.

Oh, what fun having the house tented! Been there, done that, have the two unhappy cats. It was a riot spending three days in a hotel with them, they weren't pleased about the move at all. Kasper, my brave idiot, eventually came out of hiding and adjusted, but Cuddles, mom's cat, hid under the bed the entire weekend.

Am looking forward to your new bathroom! A showerhead would be nice

Was the AC man cute?

Yeah, I'd love a shower...one with those heads you can hold in your hand. It'll have to be a two part job: floor and toilet first, sink and shower later when the cruise is paid off.

We had the house tented in '92 and we took the two cats to a mountain cabin my brother owned. That was pretty good except the siamese gave a loud meow with each breath on the trip there and back. It was a 2 hour trip and extremely stressful on the human that was in the car with her. I am concerned that the cats may meow a lot at the hotel. If they want to hide under the bed, well, I can live with that. Also, I'm debating whether to rent the room for the night before, too. With a 3pm check in time, what if they want us out of the house at 10am?
