Work/vacation plans
Mar. 6th, 2003 03:56 amWork has been nasty since I've gotten back from Escapade. Many co-workers are ill and I've been working extra. I'm very cross as this does not leave me enough time to catch up on all the fannish stuff!
I was reading the guest list for that SG con in Paris and, and, dammit, I'm tired of not going to these things. So, I bought a ticket. It'll be Thanksgiving weekend in Paris. I went to Paris for 2 nights in 1995 and had a good time, and was left wanting to return. Some folks who had been into HL before SG talked about trying to see some of the old HL sites which sounds wonderful.
Plus, I'll be traveling with my mom, who has just turned 70. She's into genealogy and has long wanted to visit some towns in Germany we are starting to put together a trip where we will be able to do that, too. I want to include Berlin as I know there is a museum there that has a wonderful Antiquities section. And lastly, I've always wanted to visit London when there are Christmas decorations up. I don't know exactly when they tend to do this, but I'm hoping things will be looking festive by the middle of December...and maybe I'll be able to visit with Kitty and Lorelei, but with my luck they will be off somewhere else for the holidays!!
Must go to bed as I've a long list of things I need to do tomorrow before I head back to work. I'm still working on the Escapade con report...I've scribbled about 7 pages long hand while at work and I'm not even half done! Huh.
