Raccoon cubs!
Jun. 16th, 2004 12:24 amApparently Mom saw CutiePie with five cubs on Saturday night. I saw only Cutiepie on Sunday night. Monday night she didn't show up at all. This evening, I was putting plants in pots and I suddenly heard that trilling that raccoons use with each other. I went into the house and peeked out into the courtyard. Cutiepie was there wolfing down water and kibble amongst a bunch of skunks, so I assume she had her cubs up a tree. It took about an hour, but finally I saw her with three cubs (perhaps the other two are still up the tree?) They are adorable, of course. They are so young that they just play with the hard food, and nuzzle up to their mom for liquid refreshment. They are too young to fear us yet and stare up in awe. "Wow! You are TALL!"
Earthlink gives it members free webspace and I've put a few photos up there of my cats and the varmits. I thought fiddling about with this stuff might help me with my ignorance of all things Web-related, but it's just made me realize it's just not my forte. Thank god for Bunny, the Webmistress that created my fannish webpage! She is a goddess!! Anyway, here is the painfully amateurish webpage with photos of the raccoons on it. http://home.earthlink.net/~kelpie/id8.html
