SGA: This Mortal Coil and other stuff
Dec. 8th, 2007 06:36 amThat was about a seven out of ten. Five things, though:
(ETA a number six)
Boy, these writers can't even let a few loose ends dangle for a year or two. Couldn't they have let the nanite team be free for a while before they killed them off? Jeeze!
I loved the talk near the end between Radek and Rodney about loss. Very sweet.
I guess Rodney is more into getting work done then being paranoid, since he was thrilled to be working with his counterpart and not at all threatened by him like I thought he'd be.
Apparently two scenes were added in because the script was short. I'm betting the walk and talks in the forest was one.
ETA: And how could I forget the killing off of Weir, off screen? She died alone, left in the hands of her enemies, her fate tossed out there in a sentence. I was just neutral about the character of Weir--she had her good moments and her blah moments, but that gave me an ugly twist to my stomach.
The PTB are so casually cruel. That was nothing to be proud about at all, more like a back alley knifing.
Not much of a cliffhanger.
As for the rest, Heroes was okay. BL: I hope we see more of Shirley and Bethany! CSI: I don't know what crap they were smoking when they wrote that one, but then need not to do it ever again. WAT: James Marsters and Eric Close; how can a show so consistently fail to use such talent?
And series 2 of Life on Mars starts this Tuesday! Yum!
And I couldn't figure out the door knob, but tightening it seems to have bought me some time til we can hire someone. :(
I did go though five days of my flist and have copy much SG1 Team fic onto my Lifedrive.! Yay!
And I'm up so late since I had to take a nap yesterday afternoon. I was freezing. I went to bed in my clothes and was still freezing. Now I have a cold sore and swollen glands at the angle of my jaw. Twentyfour years ago on a plan ride to England, I caught some sort of virus that starts acting up from late Sept to April EVERY FRICKEN YEAR. With very little warning my tonsil/throat area gets swollen and the hidden side of my soft palette burns with fiery pain and oozes bloody/yellow stuff. And then I feel like crap and run fevers for two or three days. Does that sound familiar to anyone??
