Sleep! I caught up on my lack of sleep. Now isn't that a sensible thing to do before a con? *g*

The laptop is working fine. I know people hate vista and maybe I haven't had the proper amount of time to despise it yet since I use this as a backup, but I kinda like how it connects to strange net services without a lot of hand holding because buddy, if you're looking to me to help you out with a techie thing, you are looking up the wrong tree! (and I was gonna say "looking in the wrong place, but since I'm in the land of cedar and firs and pines--where every planet looks lush--"tree" seemed in the right theme.)

Um...gonna go look at Tilford gardens and Lynn Canyon. Then go pick up my roomie in the evening.

Personally, when I got my new pc I was absolutely loathing the idea of it having Vista.

Once I got it set up and spent the first day removing as many of the annoying little extra security features as I could, though, I really grew to like it. There are actually several features I really miss when I'm at work using XP.

I'm not happy one of my favorite programs from my old pc won't work on it, but heck if that's all I've got to complain about...

Besides, that's what KVM switches are for. ;)

I only just caught up on a weeks worth of LJ entries, so I didn't know about Scooter. I'm sorry he's in a decline,poor little boy. But, I'm glad that there's always someone at home for him ...in case he needs carrying anywhere! (that's so cute!) I forgot your con was coming up, so I just wanted to say, have a great time in all the evergreen lushness of BC.
We had some showers here yesterday, which didn't do much, but made nice smells and increased the humidity. I think they're gone now, more's the pity.
I think you're right about Willem getting hard of hearing by the way. I keep startling him when I come up behind him (not on purpose.)
