Yawn.

What a disappointment. Way too much stuff in this episode and I felt even more distant and had more dislike for these characters except for Lex. I had to laugh a couple of times and I wasn't supposed to be laughing. Lois causes my hackles to rise (which is always a surprise because I forget I have hackles.) I can't believed they wrapped up the evil skippy storyline in 45 minutes. Is that a first or what! Hopefully TPTB started getting decaff venti lattes after this.

Of course, Lex going after Egyptian artifacts with mysterious writing on them just begs for a story where he invites Daniel Jackson over to the mansion.

By the way, does anyone know of any SG/SV stories??

I haven't seen it yet, but you are really making me want to. Not. Why can't they get a clue. I am so disheartened. I was really hoping this season would be different.

I have not heard of any crossovers. Could be interesting though. So are the Kryptonians ancient humans taken from earth by the goa-ulds? Or do we even go there??

It seemed like 45 minutes of coming attraction clips. Very dramatic but no context to plot or emotions. There was lots of Clark skin, and a steamy shot of Lana's voluptuous body as seen through a shower curtain. Hopefully, this exposition from hell episode now has us all on the same page and next week they will go back to normal stuff. I think the writers didn't really want to spend time exploring what the season ender set up.

And maybe you'll like it more than I did, eh?

As for the possibilities of a crossover story, that is an interesting take. I'm afraid I was just shallowly wanting to see Lex be all charming/threatening to Daniel to get his way (whatever way that would be.) ;-)

I am so there with you. Maybe you could put out a little PWP?? I wonder if with Lex's connections he could uncover a top secret program under cheyenne mountain. A little blackmail to lure a certain Dr. Jackson to Smallville....

What did you think of jensen ackles? I think he is supposed to be Lana's new love interest. I really loved him in Dark Angel. I just hope he is not going to be another card board cut out piece of arm candy for her.

I sometimes wonder if the writers even storyboard this show or do they just wing it. You would think that they have it all planned out for the season long before filming begins. I would think! Maybe it is a case of too many cooks. There are certainly enough producer credits. It just boggles my mind that a show with so much promise could fall so far.

Heh heh heh.... Sounds like a good beginning to a nice angsty plot filled with tension and intrigue. Lex would just love to captivate Dr. Jackson I think. But oh no!! Is that Lionel with henchmen I see coming closer? Oh, that is so not good!

Jensen Ackles had a couple of scenes with Lana. The first one was so twee I had to take a double shot of insulin. The second scene was just as bad but also had them kissing and carrying on in a church (I'm not religious, but it still really annoyed me.) Both were all about Lana, and the joy and laughter that is Lana, and isn't Lana just the most wonderfulest thing in the world?! So, if I block out Lana...I see a handsome man who was smitten by the kitten that is Lana. :::sigh::: I'm sure they will spend more time on him in future episodes. They really didn't have time to introduce him properly, I'm sorry to say.

As to what the writer's are doing...they were doing a lot. Whether it makes sense and will be interesting, we'll just have to wait and see.

what a surprise that the Jensen scenes were all about Lana. I am shocked! ;-)
