I'm going to the local county fair tomorrow and thought I'd check the list of events in case there was some pig races I might want to check out. Instead of trying to guess the url, I typed Fairplex into google and got directed to this page:

http://www.google.com/safebrowsing/diagnostic?site=http://www.fairplex.com/

I had some idea that hackers would corrupt a website but not that they'd infect it and still manage to leave it up. I had no idea that google would alert me to hazards like that. Huh.

Anyway, don't visit the Faiplex page.

I don't know as it's an 'infected' thing as much as it uses some kind of cookie tracker, or 'installs' a tracker? I clicked on Google's 'see more info' and that's what they said. Not that anyone necessarily hacked into the site, but that they have detected what *they* think *might* be malware. I'd be surprised if anything really nasty came from there. I googled the fair over the weekend, but I used the 'lacountyfair.com' site. Enjoy! I wanted to go this past weekend and it was too hot - and this coming weekend will be just as hot. I just can't enjoy going when the temp is pushing 90 all the way up to 100. I hope it cools down enough for me to go in the next couple of weeks.

"lacountyfair.com"

Cool. Thanks! I didn't know about that one.

We didn't go today because it's now closed on Mon/Tues. :( Tomorrow is supposed to be cooler. Yay!

We use Firefox, but still, I don't want to take chances. It's too damn expensive and inconvienent when the computer goes down.
