When I went to the fair a few weeks ago, we brought home a Kerry for President yard poster. It didn't have any wire stakes, so I fixed to the mailbox pole at the street. It lasted about 2 weeks before someone ripped it to bits and tossed it back on the yard. The UPS man asked us what had happened, then said he had 3 Kerry posters on his yard. The neighbor also asked about it, and when I said I was considering going to the Democratic HQ and getting some more, she asked it I could get some for her. This was yesterday.

Today, there was a hand written letter in our mailbox that complained about the condition of our yard (which is a mess but has gradually been getting more under control through the years.) Could the two be related?

Anyway, I was thinking of fixing the torn bits of the poster to a piece of poster board and putting it back on the front yard with some pithy comment. The whole thing just ticks me off.

Yeah, I bet those are connected. I'd be pissed, too. And tempted to commit rash acts of random vandalism. At least until some better angel talked me out of it. :-) I hope the raccoon family are consoling you. And that kind of desperate, petty vandalism just shows how scared of losing and how small-minded Bush supporters are.

*Hugs you*

Thanks, Rosa. I'm trying to avoid making things worse, but dammit, I just want to do something I'll probably regret later. I sitting on my impulses right now.

And did three hours of hard yard work, though not on the side of the yard of the neighbor that we suspect wrote the note. Is it wrong to park the full green recycle bins facing said neighbor??
