Leverage: Realism, smealism! Just give me the eye-candy!

Merlin: Camelot 90210.

Merlin: Did the myth have to be modernized for it to work as episodic tv?

The Mentalist: Where noticing the details will enhance your appreciation of the team.
or
The Mentalist: Where it's the writer's slight-of-hand that slowly reveals a charming cast of characters.

I need to think up one for SG1 and probably AS&J, too.

Some great ideas. One I've been thinking every time I watch Leverage:
Leverage--Even Better than Hustle! (In case you haven't seen it, it's the Brit con game show with Rober Vaughn. While I like Hustle a lot, I like the characters on Leverage even better. And the actors.)

As for Merlin, hopefully I can be forgiven for the following:
Merlin--Stealing all the Best SGA Slash Writers, Damn It!

And The Mentalist--SOOOOO Much Better than Psych (or Lie to Me)

Or, The Mentalist--FINALLY the wonderful Simon Baker has found a show worthy of his talent.

I never got into Criminal Minds because it started off to grisly. Was it you the other week who complained about them being too gruesome? That's the main reason I quit watching the CSI's as well. Gruesomeness exists too much in real life--I don't need to see it while I'm being ENTERTAINED.

So Merlin is seducing away all your writers, eh? That sure happened fast. Have you seen Merlin, btw?

I think CSI is more gruesome, but CM is more disturbing. The characters make it worthwhile.

I haven't seen Merlin yet. I'll probably watch it eventually, because it sounds interesting. But the guys are too young for me to enjoy any slash fiction, maybe too young even for really gripping friendship fics.

Like Supernatural, I enjoy the show but the guys are too young for me to become enamored. I enjoy the eye-candy and the plots (for the most part--they have that gruesome problem, too), but that's it.

Hustle is a British import with a group of con men and one woman. Good plots, tricky cons, humorous banter. It was on A&E a couple years back. Leverage is VERY similar.
