The loss of Minotaurs
Jun. 17th, 2009 10:09 amIt's been a couple of days now since he's passed on and it's still a shock. I only knew him casually from the Slashbasher meetings and from his fun panels at the conventions and yet feel his loss acutely. He was vivacious, confident, always a lot of fun and perhaps the most pertinent thing from a fannish pov was that he was incredibly giving. He shared so much with us from his unique knowledge of how things really worked, to cluing us in on movies and tv shows that were worth watching--not to mention who was incredibly hot! In a culture that is based upon and depends upon sharing, his generosity was outstanding. He leaves a gaping hole in our community. I can't imagine how his family and close friends must be coping.
