Finally got around to watching the new Wallace and Gromit DVD. I think I laughed only twice. And I didn't care for the fat jokes. I am disappointed. It seemed thin and a bit mean in parts. Oh well.
Criminal Minds was creepy. Reid was looking fine though. VERY interesting change to the team. I look forward to seeing what happens next.
SGU. Well, I have been watching them, but I'm a week behind. Ep 104, Darkness, is on now. This is my forth attempt at watching it. Lovely tivo...it remembers where I quit watching so I don't have to rewatch stuff.
What puzzles me is this show was written by Wright and Cooper, but it has all the flaws that Mallozzi packs into his shows. Populated by people that are unpleasant, bickering, and self-centered, a countdown occurring constantly and lots of walking around the corridors. I am SO not impressed.
I do sort of like Eli. I think he has potential to be more likable. Likable means that I will want to watch more, so it is sort of important.
Rush reminds me of Lex Luthor in that EVERYONE knows he is malignant and treats him that way...but the audience isn't shown the proof. Rush is temperamental but he does have reasons for what he does. And he can be an ass. And? So? Therefore? I work with asses all the times but I don't sabotage them because of it.
Anyway, I do like Robert Carlyle, but it's kind of like he's acting on a different show from everyone else. I can believe from his barely restrained panic that he is on a strange ship and his life is hanging by a thread. Everyone else is in a poorly done homage to BSG.
I do like David Blue. I liked him on Ugly Betty, too. He brings humanity to the show.
And Greer. Christ, I don't know what to think. He is dangerous and unstable. And why does this character have to be the black guy? I am more than tired of the racist bullcrap out of Bridge. I get angry just thinking about it so maybe it's catching....
I will continue watching...for now.
But hey, Merlin was fun! Beauty and the Beast. The actress that played the troll was having great fun. Uther under the spell of the troll was amusing. He's always so stern and harsh and then he suddenly goes all happy and gooey. Loved it! And this is the first time in quite a while where I felt danger towards Merlin. That's been missing from the show. I do like my dramas rather than comedies. It was actually a thrill when he got extra forceful doing that spell to get out of being trapped. I very much look forward to the next episode.
And even though it's repetitive, I adore Castle. I love the writing and the writer's jokes. And the characters. It is such fun. :)
I gave the pilot to White Collar a try this weekend. It's on USA and is repeating a bunch this week. It's a buddy show, with two likable characters, one who is quite attractive and it has a nice dynamic. The FBI agent says to the con man/art forger that is paroled into his custody, "You're mine for the next four years. Is that a problem?" Heh heh heh. Have to see where it goes from here but it's worth checking out.
Well, I've got ten minutes left on the SGU ep and it will be finished. It really shouldn't be this much work to watch a tv show, right?
