Eureka: I've been mightily impressed with the change up they did this season. I guess they are going to stay in this AU? I mostly liked Dr. Grant. I know he was there as a speed bump for Jack/Alison, and at times he was a A-hole, but he was a 1940's A-hole. I was glad he redeemed himself by making the right choice. And for all of 2 seconds I was struck numb that Alison fell victim to the Cartwright girlfriend curse before my brain kicked in. I was EXTREMELY pleased that the resolution did NOT wipe Alison's memory of getting together with Jack. Since they had already had them together once and wiped that clean, that would have been too lame. In this particular show, I am a shipper and I do want Jack and Alison, Jo and Zane, and Henry and Grace to have happily ever afters.
White Collar I know this makes me a bad fan, but I didn't like Kate and always tuned out when there was Kate Plot. I'm glad she's gone and kinda wished there was no Kate Plot left. I don't care about the music box. I was glum about the schism between Neal and Peter. I loved Peter telling Neal 'he isn't that kind of a man' to get him to surrender his gun. I guess this is a bromance cliff-hanger--can they repair the damage? As for the ending scene, didn't like that at all. Jerks.
Being Human Holy Crap! What a mess. I knew George's desire to be normal was doomed but to nearly change in public, in a *school!* Yikes. Annie? I think the writers have forgotten she wants to stay, but I guess they needed her to be interested in what the priest was selling. And Mitchell? That's very intense. I know that all vampires prey on humans but it is Mitchell being on the wagon that makes one forgive him his past crimes. He's beyond the pale and pretty much the monster that the priest said he was. Yikes!
Merlin Yay! It's back! I know this is shallow but the production values are so good in this show; it's like watching a movie. I knew Morgana was going to be villainous but hadn't counted on her enjoying it so much (or being able to kill in cold blood so easily.) I'm glad Merlin wasn't fooled for too long. Loved how concern Arthur was for Uther. Arthur is still looking mighty fine, too. I'm not happy with the floor scrubbing humor, but kinda expected a repeat of the regression of the Merlin / Arthur relationship since they had done that before in 2.1. Loved Merlin being saved by the dragon! Merlin's getting very sloppy about how he uses his magic in public (there was a story I read recently where Arthur knew about the magic and had to work hard at having plausible deniability while he waited for Merlin to confide in him. Very cute, and plausible!) And Uther! He's been so harsh, so inflexible...a very scary monarch. But I have to say I felt very sorry for him. One of the two people he loves was betraying him and enjoying his misery. It's very sad. I eagerly await next week's episode!
